Sophie Scholl (1921 – 1943). member of the White Rose, the non-violent, intellectual resistance group in Nazi Germany, consisting of students from the University of Munich and their philosophy professor.Sophie was convicted of high treason after having been found distributing anti-war leaflets at the University of Munich with her brother Hans.
